Vanguard Binos and Vortex Tripod
« on: December 01, 2013, 01:13:53 PM »
Is there any reason my Vanguard Binos won't fit a Vortex Tripod? Different size mounting hardware or awkward fit?  I am buying the tripod online and don't want any surprises!

Thanks in advance!

I don't see why the bino adapter for your binos would not hook up to a Vortex Tripod. All tripods come with their own quick release plate, this plate would attach to the bottom of your bino adapter, camera, spotter etc. -- I use several Vortex Optics on my Vanguard Espod Tripod with no issues at all, you just have to use the plates that come with the tripod!

The screw that attaches to whatever you're putting on the tripd is a standard size & pitch on almost all tripods

Not sure if you can remove the adapter on a Vortex tripod but it came with it installed. In order to attach anything to it you'll need the adapter.

I have that exact setup and I had to get a different shoe for the scope to sit properly on the tripod.  I also just went and bought a Vanguard trigger handle that I used for my DLSR this past weekend that I would say has pro's and cons for sure.

If you need a pic I can send you one tonight when I get home... but still unpacking.
