Spotlight Recommendations
« on: December 02, 2013, 03:40:29 PM »
I need recommendations and reviews on spotlights.  I want a hand held spotlight that will bring the sun out at midnight to use on the farm to spot trespassers at night and to check things out.  Anyone have any recommendations on good spotlights under $100?  ALso, ones to stay away from?

Thanks

I just got a Stanley spotlight from Walmart for $69. I don't think you can beat it for the money.

Kinda not what you're asking about but, get a Streamlight Polystinger LED rechargeable. That's what I do surveillance with every night before I go to bed. It shines out to 100 yards and the battery lasts a loooong time. I've had a lot of spotlights and they are big and cumbersome if you had to go to work with a handgun. Youtube the Polystinger to see what I mean. With a charger, they're around $120-130 bucks.
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

Get the cigarette plugin and the extra handle then you can use it for shooting coyotes AND keeping tabs on the property. Works great and shines yotes out to about 600 yards

The Goal Zero spotlight is very light and bright.  I'm happy with mine.  Only about $30.

I second the Lightforce lights.  I got one that plugs into my 12 volt receptacle in my vehicle, and it will light up the whole county.  They aren't cheap, but they're good, and they make a lot of different models.  Probably a lot more since I got mine.   :twocents:

There is nothing out there that compares to lightforce. They are the brightest and best light around. I spend hundreds of hours behind lights and trust me you won't be disappointed. You can also adjust the beam as well. For about 110.00 you can get a Stryker 170 and it will be excellent. I run them all the 140, 170 and the 240.

I think mine's the 170.
