You say the New Mark II has an adjustable trigger?

Nope, not adjustable.  I'm wrong on that, I thought they were.  Sorry for the misinfo...

They do have a new trigger, called the LC6 trigger.  I hope it's better than the triggers they've been providing on their Mark II.  I ALWAYS do a trigger job on these rifles to eliminate creep and polish the sears to reduce trigger pull down to approx 3-3.5 lbs (for a hunting rifle) from the usual 6-8 lb they usually are.  Polishing the sears, and putting in better stock springs usually gets me there pretty easily.  These rifles always shoot well with good triggers for me.  Course, I custom load my ammo, and I believe in proper barrel break in as well...

Well I just checked and the only part on the stock that has Ruger is the butt plate. Is the little set screw normal for this model of Ruger or is it a after market trigger?

Mine has an aftermarket trigger on it that my uncle put on for me. Breaks at 3lbs even, but it dont have a set screw on it that I remember, but Ill check when I get home and let you know. I do know that Canjar triggers have a set screw, maybe you have one of them.
