Late Archery Blacktail buck Harvest
« on: December 03, 2013, 08:37:39 AM »
My first Blacktail buck, I used a 1960s Whiffen Comet recurve 53#@28 58". St Charles custom arrows tipped with 1964 bear razorhead.  I have been after a buck for so long. I couldnt be happier.
This was a few days ago and very honored to have my kids help with recovery.. Be safe and Happy Holidays.

Was he a 2-point? Kind of looks like it.
The only man who never makes a mistake, is the man who never does anything!!
The further one goes into the wilderness, the greater the attraction of its lonely freedom.

Sky, yep  2x2. After taking the shot, (never been that close before) I gave him 3.5 hrs before returning with my nephew and 10yr old son. Thats when things turned for the worse,,

Congrats on a hard-earned and noteworthy accomplishment!
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.
