Need Cow Elk Cape. . .
« on: December 04, 2013, 03:40:06 PM »
I need 1 Cow Elk Cape off of a Large Cow.  Good neck/mane hair.  No splits in the ears or major rubs or scars.  Needs to be caped out properly like you would a bull elk.  I can give $75.

If you can't get ahold of me for the next 2 days leave a message.  I should be back in service periodically through out the day.

how soon do you need it? I am going down to Oregon to fill a couple land owner cow tags probably early next month. Welcome to the capes if you want them

The sooner the better.  If you could check with me before you leave for your hunt I'd appreciate it.

We have several cow tags in our group starting Sunday in the Toledo unit. Up until this year I would say we could have a cape for you within a few days. This year I am actually worried about filling those tags. If we do though I will give you a call.

No idea why I'm setting here drinking coffee and watching the snow fall at the moment. I should be out doing some kill'n. Got into em yesterday right before dark. Only real shot presented was a damn 4x5 and another little rag horn. Cow only and can't keep the bulls away :dunno:. Anyhow I'm heading out now, should be able to get back on em with the fresh snow, hopefully I'll have good knews later today

:( Well I got back into em, made a nice 400yd stalk mostly on my butt sliding through the snow. Closed to 50yds and they decided to get up and move along :bash: had another hunter coming down from above, guess they felt abit crowded. Was so close I could taste em, but just not quite close enough. Made a vow early season to pack nothing but the recurve this year, had I had my PSE and a 50yd pin I coulda been done :'(. I managed to find em again just before dark and put em to bed, so not done just yet, I'll be back in the morning :)
