Went out today and called in one but didn't get a shot because he was on the other side of the fence (privet land) I tried to get a pic but it ran away before I could get the camera out :dunno:

i saw some yotes yesterday. I was hiking up notellem creek and i saw this noice 3 point with eye guards, and then i walk out a finger to look over the edge and a yote jumps out about 15 feet infront of me and i start calling at it and it runs away. I looked overthe end of the finger and there was another one runnin' down hill. You know what the crappiest part is: i didnt have a gun. :dunno: :bash: but hey now i no where a few yotes are. later that day i found a couple dens too!

you dont have a gun as in you dont own one or you didnt have one with you?

sounds like someone might need to go shopping

It sounds like it's time to get a new gun.

BullElk and I went out today and did 13 sets, On the 8th set I called in a double using my new axis call I got from Rick.  Shot at 117 yrds on the first one facing me and 125 yrds on the 2nd running away. Only called in one more that couldn't have weighed more than 14 lbs on the last set. We let him go to grow up a little. (actually he gave us the slip).
First pic shows where they both landed(2nd one directly above the lower one about 10 yrds). I'm not going to comment on the 3 that I videoed but didn't press the record button.

Score another for Team Can't Hit Shat.

Well it was the maiden voyage for the 220 swift and it was bitter sweet. Had a yote bust me while walking to my first stand and he just sat and looked at me for 10-15 minutes he was a long ways off and my rangefinder wouldn't read it. I figured 500 and gave it a poke. Well wouldn't you know, I hit it. But not very well. It bit at it's guts and did a couple spins and took off. Snow is mostly gone so couldn't track it but where it did cross snow there was blood but not much. I did range it finally at 511. Second was the same thing. Damn thing had me pegged at 404. Took another poke and missed clean. Usually don't shoot past 350 but these two wouldn't come in and just sat looking at me. Plus I hadn't even done a set yet, I was just walking in. Either I stood up and educated them or I try a shot and educate them. Oh'well. Finally make it to the 1st set and call one in but he winded me at 313 and as soon as I got the hairs on him he bolted. Barking wouldn't stop him.  :bash:  4th set I finally called in this purdy dude. Took about 20 minutes and he came charging. He saw the decoy and just froze up. Sumbitch never did see me. I let him have it at 65 yards. Let me tell you that Swift hit him like a lightening bolt. It sure was fun to get out again. That damn storm really screwed things up down there.

Here's where I plugged it. See the little arrow dead center?

Close up.

Here's my pretty mug.

Exit wound. 36 grain Varmint grenades. Sorry if too graphic. Lots of people ask about the V-Grenade so figured I'd post. Not too bad for a 65 yard shot at 4000+.

Another of the dog cased with yours truly.

Sorry for all the pics. Excited to finally get out again. Oh' and this is what I think of skinning these stinking dogs.  :puke:  :puke: But he had good fur. Think I'll hang him in the basement. Doubt the buyer will like the butcher job I did and he's pretty dark.

Good job Mark. Nice to be back at it again isn't it.

Is that at the spot we met? Quite the contrast from the road to the river.

Saw a total of 7 today but only managed to get pics of 2.  Refer to my post in the Photography thread so I don't have to repost the pics.  Could've had more pics but I was to busy lobbing rounds at a pair I saw right as I was parking the rig.
