Antelope hunting in wdfw questionaire

I don't know if you noticed but there was a question if antelope should be open to permit hunts.

I noticed they are acknowledging the antelope. I commented that I hope they try to increase the herd.

Honestly, I don't know what to think about an actual antelope hunt in this state. Odds would probably be something like 1 in 3,000.

I'm not sure it would be worth the $14 application fee. And if drawn the tag would likely cost the same as a moose tag ($330)

I think I'd rather go to Wyoming to hunt antelope.

Although I should say I do hope they do well and increase in number. It's just not something I ever see myself hunting here. Maybe in 200 years, but I don't plan on being around any more at that point in time.

I would be interested on reviewing study’s that would show/predict the impact to deer and elk in Washington before they move forward and grow the herds.

As much as I would love another big game animal to hunt, it would not do any good if it reduced the elk and deer populations. Especially if it’s permit only.

If you travel along 84 past Sunnyside look at those barren hills. I do not see any deer up there, but I do see antelope.
They crossed the Columbia from Oregon.

I'm sorry, but I personally think it's a waste of money.......much like the waste of money they spend on wolf/grizzly/wolverine/fisher/caribou research.

I would rather them waste money on Antelope that wolves. Wonder how many fawns survived? If we started with 99 head, what do we have now?

Not true, these are antelope that the rez brought in from Nevada and dropped off near Mabton.  I don't see them very often anymore, they scattered and I'm with C-Money that different genetics will be needed to let them survive. 

This isn't about hunting antelope.  This IS about a way to get some $$$$$ from us.  I think the whole antelope thing is
