Eddie Bauer Gear and Customer Service
« on: December 16, 2013, 11:17:27 AM »
Just an FYI if anyone's looking for new upland gear.  Eddie Bauer has returned to the outdoor world and is producing some pretty nice upland gear for hunters.  The are also the only company I know of who is making upland gear for women.  I outfitted my wife from top to bottom with pants, jacket, and their upland vest.  Their woman's gear is pretty high quality gear that looks great.  My wife loves it.  Not only that, their customer service is phenomenal.  They are going through some growing pains with the new company, clothes, etc.  But I will tell you that they went above and beyond to make things right on my order after they screwed some things up.  They will be getting more of my money in the future.

Good to know. Where did you buy it or did you go through an online retailer?

Thanks for the FYI, looks like a couple nice pieces they have available. The women's stuff is a plus, it's tough buying mens small sizes for my girls.
Albacore, the better white meat.

Good to hear that Eddie Bauer is getting back to its roots.  Years after Eddie Bauer died, and the company was sold, a friend and I went into the store and went downstairs.  A fluffy young thing bounced out of the rows of fluffy clothing and asked if she could help us.  We said no, and that we just wanted to see what the Gun Room looked like.  She said:  "Oh, we've never had guns!"  We said:  "Oh yes you did!"  And she stood there with her jaw dropped as we pointed to the opening into the stock room, and said:  "And in there was the Full Service Gunsmith Shop".  As we walked away, she was still standing there with her chin on her chest.  :chuckle: I still have the Eddie Bauer Goose Down sleeping bag I bought in 1968...
If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.

When Bernie Madoff did it, it's called a "Ponzi Scheme"
When Government does it, it's called "Social Security"
