Nice buck!!
Are you Mark McGwire's cousin?

I'd be happy with that buck on a quality tag.  Nice deer
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

This hunt took place in 2005? I drew the tag with 9 points. I believe if a hunter spends some time scouting in the summer to learn the roads and puts in the effort he3 could have found a much better buck than this one. I had cougar hunted in the unit area in 1991 but was unable to make the 4 hour drive to scout. Honestly I was not prepared to spend the time needed to harvest a quality buck. I used my optics quite a bit and saw over 150 deer 39 of which were bucks in 5 days of hunting. This was the best buck I saw in my unit. I have heard that deer numbers and quality are down in the unit now but I know several archers who hunted it this year and saw numerous bucks. Like most draw tags if you put your time in you will find quality animals. I still put my kids and I in for these tags. If you have specific questions send me a pm and we can talk. Good luck in the draw.
