Good job Teach, takes some of the sting away from the lack of elk on your recent hunt, huh?
One shot, one Deer. Two shots, maybe one Deer. Three shots, no Deer

I got back to work today and I found out my buddy was over there hunting also with his wife and 3 year old, they thumped a really nice 4x4 with a 20" spread. heavy and dark. It ran across the road on them at 1:15 in the afternoon when they where up in the Forest service land. His wife got out and made the shot. They saw a total of two nice bucks and four does.
If you shoot the first one you will never get that true trophy.

A few more pics, I tend to dwarf animals, I'm 6'1 and 270 pounds, The kid with me is one of my senior football players, he is 6' 189 pounds. anyway as you can see in the pics the left side is weak, the right side is pretty nice. Overall not a bad way to end the season.

not a bad way to end the season at all.

Looks like I may eat tag soup this year unless my luck improves this last weekend.........
