Annoyance sending a reply!
« on: December 11, 2013, 07:52:31 PM »
Why is it when you are typing a reply and try to post it, it wont post is someone has posted any reply's while you were typing.   A warning msg comes up instead saying "someone posted a reply while you were typing" so what! This is lame and annoying.

So go into your profile and turn the function off.

Your post is still there and you can still hit the post button after the warning.  I believe this is done because you maybe replying to something and someone already replied saying the same thing.
So go into your profile and turn the function off.
As I was typing jackelope replied with this.  You can do this too.

I like having the warning. Often i will change my post as a result, or, not submit the post at all.

Why is this function even on here?

Bobcat--can you read what the other person is typing? No

Can you read their mind? No

This a completely useless feature.

I can't read while they are typing, but if I get that on the screen I can scroll down and see what they wrote.  Then I choose to reword or not post my response.  Sometimes it annoying, but other times useful.  Personal preference on whether to post or not at that point.

How can you say that when I just said that I like it and I do find it useful? If you don't like it, turn it off. As I said, many times seeing that there were posts made while I was typing, I will end up changing my post, or will just cancel it. I'm really surprised that some don't like this feature.

It warns you in case the reply that was posted ahead of you answers your question so you don't look stupid.  :)

It is a great feature for me.  I have been a member for a long time with a fairly low post count because of this feature.  I can't count how many times I have typed in my post only to get the warning and see that I would just be adding a duplicate response, so I delete to avoid redundancy.
