I just keep thinking of his bride and how hard this temporary separation must be. Praying for the family.

So very saddened by this news.  I met Jerry and Cathy back in 07 or so, time flies for sure, and I will never forget how helpful, kind, giving, knowledgeable, funny, and loving Jerry was !  He always made time for his friends, and those friends he had just met.  They probably didnt realize what impact Jerry would have on them at that moment.
Jerry and Cathy always made time when I would stop by, and would often make me stay for dinner.  I camped out in the spare bed a few times when hunting in the area, Jerry insisted.
I feel a deep loss, and such sadness for Cathy, Jerry was her ROCK !
Cathy, I pray for your comfort.

I have lost their number due to phone getting soaked, if someone can pass their number on I would appreciate it.

 God speed my Brother !

I loved his posts.  He was great man.  Never met him face to face, but I know he and I would have been good friends.  To all who knew him, to Cathy his wife, and to his family, please accept my condolences.  May he rest in peace.

I will be going to see Cathie tomorrow sometime.  As I receive her plans for a service and with her permission, I will post it here.  I know that she appreciates all the prayer.  I will be printing this thread out for her to read also if she so desires.

I am in shock.

I have known Jerry for years from originally making contact on this site. What a great man. He wanted nothing more in life than to see others enjoy the Klick like he did. Wanted others to score a tom. Wanted others to get a deer. I remember the first time coming over to visit. Then, each and every time I was anywhere near his home, it was time to go see what was going on. Over the years, he and his wife Cathy took a liking to my kids and Jerry took us all over the countryside, just two years ago trying to put my kids on a bird. He fell in love with my box call, so I mailed him a new one for him to mess with. I spoke to Cathy and Jerry a few months back and was looking forward to this spring to get out with him again.  He really wanted to get my kids out as I have been dealing with my cancer.

Cathy, if you read this, you already know what a great guy Jerry was. He set such a great example for us all. A great legacy he has left behind. He touched so many folks. He will be so missed. You know we all love you too. Prayers from my family in this difficult time.

Rest in peace Jerry.

Jerry was my friend. Like so many others he and Cathy opened up his house to me and to my hunting buddies. Seven years ago Jerry and I went out turkey hunting as he helped me bag a big one. Two or three times a year I visited his little piece of paradise in the shadow of Mt. Adams. This past April we built the new chicken coop and put the little chickens and turkeys in the new space. He was a happy guy. Jerry and I both loved his dog Todd and when Todd passed away Jerry was a sad man. I watched him look worse and worse over the past couple of years but I always hoped that the next Doctor might find the secret.
Jerry was a great man, a man of honesty, integrity, generosity, and love for his wife Cathy. He and Cathy always treated me like a family member and for that I'm eternally grateful. I will miss Jerry very much. We spoke every few weeks and to not hear his gruff voice, his gentle spirit, his laugh cuts a big hole in my heart. "Jerry, I trust you are in a very special place now, one that allows you to walk high above Soda Springs, carry your shotgun, make those subtle turkey calls. I hope a big Tom walkes into your path. I only wish I could be there to cook an amazing turkey dinner for you. We will all miss you."
