« on: December 14, 2013, 04:33:00 PM »
Jim Lallas (Acme Hunting Club) has a few beautiful GWP's left from his recent litter. Almost wish I had waited for them had I known. Just throwing this out there if anyone is looking.

***UPDATED*** additional info below.

I am not selling these for him, just thought I would let people know because I had some difficulty finding pups for myself, and I am not patient enough to get on a waiting list and hope for the best.

I am working with Jim introducing my pup to birds and guns. I honestly and strategically have not asked price because if I do that is the first step in buying another and my wife would divorce me. A couple are the exact color I wanted which is why I am doing everything I can to distance myself from the idea.

I know he has a Facebook page but have no idea if it is up to date. He mentioned today that he put an add in the Nickel. If you want to PM me, I will be happy to give you his phone number.

additionally, he mentioned getting the website back up to sell the remaining pups but can not verify that he has done that.

Ha ha that is so funny,I've known Jim going on 20 years,he ain't no techno nothing but he is a by god dog man.He has good stock and really holds his stock to higher standards than a majority of folks.I saw those pups two weeks ago.And I've hunted over their great grandfather who was a guide dog that had thousands and thousands of birds killed over him. I know his line in case anyone is wondering it is heavy in Cascade wirehairs(Ray Calkins stock) It's also got some Inverness in it as well, fact is the Inverness kennell used the great grandfather at stud a couple of times for the Helb blood that Easy carried.Helb was a hot to trot Wirehair in the 70's. The old setter that hangs on the porch came from my old male and his female.I've told Jimmy 3-4 times now to get on here and become a sponsor so he can advertise his services. He just ain't techno and has his daughter do the computer stuff for him. He's quite the guy and attacks life at his own beat,he's as busy as he wants to be.

An unrelated hot to trot on paper with 3 NFC's in 3 generations with a bunch of FC's for dams is available elsewhere, the dog is 4 years old, broke to wing and shot and ready to either put birds in a bag or win field trials,he retrieves as well. And he is CHEAP!when you consider the cost of training to be DEAD BROKE.
Green broke 90 day program is going to cost 2400 bucks, add the fact that the dog cost 1000 as a pup,put 4 years of feed in one and figure out what that is worth along with vet expenses.A dog of this level of training is a 6000 dog,the price of him is just a sckosh more than 1/3 of that.
additionally, he mentioned getting the website back up to sell the remaining pups but can not verify that he has done that.

Always liked Wirehairs, but I ended up with English Setters instead.  If I was still young enough to keep up to a dog, I'd snap one up in a minute!
If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.

When Bernie Madoff did it, it's called a "Ponzi Scheme"
When Government does it, it's called "Social Security"
