SBE II Ejector problem
« on: December 14, 2013, 12:45:08 PM »
Has anyone else had there SBE II eject out loaded rounds after firing a round?  This shotgun is kicking out or ejecting round 2&3 after a the first shot in one cycling.  Both of them hit the ground instead of loading into the chamber.  But again, it is kicking out 2 shells at the same time.  I was using Kent 2-3/4" 1-1/2 oz of 4 shot lead.  I tried Prairie Storm it is doing the same thing.  Any ideas why?

Thanks TV

mine was doing that too, i as well was using the same rounds....i was blaming the rounds, as i do clean the gun, then ran into a guy that told me to use a wire, knife or whatever to scrape the carbon buildup where the shells rim seats in the barrel. i did this, didn't seem like i cleaned anything, but....the gun now functions fine. i guess the round just wasn't fully seating, if that's the right terminology.

Is it ejecting them or dropping them out the bottom.  You need some sort of inertia to kick them out as it won't continue to cycle without firing.  I would make sure they are pushed in the bottom entirely and make sure your finger isn't hitting the silver button by trigger.
I know the two culprits if it's not ejecting shell.  This one I would just have to see.  Should be something simple.  Have you pulled the trigger out or pulled it apart and may have not gotten it all back in correctly?
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!

Will definitely try this and see if it is possibly the problem.  Thanks!

It is ejecting them, 2 at a time.  Simultaneously I suppose but, none the less both following shells are ejecting out of action.

Haven't pulled the trigger out, it isn't that old.  You may be onto to something with about the release though by the trigger...Hmmm

Thanks!

Also check and see if your cartridge drop lever is bent. My SP 10 did the same thing, I bent it because I did not remove the trigger group correctly. You gotta press the bolt release button before removing the trigger group.
