Dan, good recap.  I had to do a little teasing to all the guys on here haha.  It was a great day, todays total turned out good. lots of deer, and a good bunch of bucks. With this last stalked being awesome.  Its a good day when you can pass on the couple bucks Dan passed on today.  Although i was ready and willing to get bloody. :)  But long hard day, no breaks really. I feel good, and i hope you, Dan, dont have dreams tonight....of the "Nightmare Buck"

Good luck tomarrow, keep me posted, give me a call if you need anything.

When in doubt don't shoot...always but especially with this tag...you have plenty of time, no other hunting pressure, and only the entire Mule Deer regular guy waiting on you.  Tough year but a 180 or more is out there....or even a super heavy high 170's,  or even a 200 if those in the know will let you in on it.  Good luck and don't give in to those morning thoughts of a couple more hours sleep.

This is a fun ride!

Seriously, between the awesome play by play from 300 and all the sweet buck/bull photos getting posted, hunt-wa is in prime form!  Keep up the great work everyone!

300, man that sounds like a really fun day.  You're working hard and getting close...you'll find him soon.

50Cal showed up yesterday evening to join the cause. We hit it early and stayed til late. First light came and on our way to our destination we ran into a huge 3pt running with a monster 2-pt. Some excellent genes there. He dropped me off to do a walk into some uncharted areas hoping to find "the one". Many deer later I met him back at the road about 11ish. We mostly glassed for the next few hours until we decided to go see a new area. A couple miles into the new area we planted the rig in a snow drift. Not wanting to deal with it right away we walked around to the next overlook to find a herd of 9 deer with another huge 3pt. There must have been a doe that went back into estrus because he and another buck were acting rutty. We went back to the rig, dug it out, turned around, and headed for the barn.

10 days left. . . . .

Sorry Lemondog, you will have to put up with more posts.

Slider, yes today was cold but very clear and not near the wind as yesterday. Much more enjoyable standing out on a ridge. Did you leave the camera in the rig all night in the cold? Keep posting pics of the big bucks, it gives me incentive.

OK, I know one of you fellas out there has a buck spotted worthy of the WA raffle tag! Lets give him a tip or two. I think it is a pretty tough year to tag a top end deer around here. You never know when your going to be the tag holder and you need the help. Besides, its driving me crazy! I need to see someone put a good one down! H! HA! Good luck today Dan.

I'd shoot slider's 40 incher.  He may not score the best, but it is an impressive rack.  I've had my grandpa's which is an exact 3 point clone and is 39.5" wide and it is an impressive rack, despite only scoring about 170 or so.  It's just unique.  Cood luck to you over there.

Problem with the buck Slider posted is I think it's on private land.  Same with the other buck that some one else posted up that has the trash on one side.

It's snowing hard here in Cashmere today.  I tried to go look this morning for a few bucks I have heard rumors of but visibilty is terrible.  Can barely see across the street right now!

Your right though, someone reading this knows where a nice buck is.  I like the way 300 is doing it though.  He's treating this tag like what it is and I admire the hell out of that.

Hang in there!  Look what patience did for Garrett's dad last year.

Lowedogs right. Most of the BIG Bucks are on private land. Keep looking they are out there. I'll start looking for you the day after Christmas if you don't connect by then.
And to answer your question 300 I keep the camera in the house.I just changed batteries a couple days earlier and I thought I had spares in the truck. Well the batteries crapped and no spares. :bash: And of course today I have new batteries and spares and don't see any GOOD Bucks. :bash: Oh well If you need help let me know!!! Good Luck

Well, govenors out of the way, so now its all you bud.  That ought to take a few dozen spotters out of the woods.  He looks like the one that was on here earlier. I was going to see.  I'll be out in the woods again tomorrow.  I've seen two that you might like, though I only got crappy pics of one and I wanted to confirm.  He looks similiar to the gov tag buck and he is running with a thirty inch 4 with decent mass.  Probably about 185.  If you want the coordinates I'll pm them to you.  If not, I'll try to confirm tomorrow, depending on the family situation. ;)  The *censored*ty pics of the non-typ should be around shortly.  I was using the 35 mm with a spottingscope attachment as to not disturb them for you.
