Good call, Fanatic.

Dan'l - try throwing in some earplugs to keep those hosers from waking you up at 1:45 in the morning!  Good luck tomorrow.

They always make it to work. I wish I still had that youthful exuberance.

Oh come on buddy. We always make it to work after an all nighter on a school night!!! The question is how long we've stayed there! HE, HE....... good luck Pal!

Joining them might not be the best thing. If memory serves me correctly, Dan'l prefers women? JK.....Ha ha .... Of course maybe that would explain why i have trouble walking after a night out with him......I just assumed it was the Coors Light that made my butt hurt...... Ok i'm done... Just goof with you buddy......

Long story on the "Hairy" 300....  I would love to sit back but this is killing me...  I'm most likely coming over Sat. and have a couple of sleds in the works for play.  I'm confident you'll have the pig down by the time I get there.  If not, me sled you sled.  Have you checked out the power line side of Crum?  Good cover and fairly open at the same time.  Anyway... Merry Christmas!!!!
Ya brother o mine, why Hairy?

Dec 28 update:

Met rougheye bright and early at the end of the plowed section of Mud Cr Rd. This was almost like a guided hunt, rougheye removed the snow from the sled, started it, and drove it off the trailer. This was my first time on a sled in 15 years but it was a blast. I only got stuck once, rolled it once, and had to have rougheye turn it around for me once. We hit the entire Entiat unit from mud east to the Columbia, stopped, walked out finger ridges and glassed at dozens of spots. I can tell you this, I think I've seen every one of these deer (including bucks) at least once. Total deer count was over 200. It was a great day of sled riding and rougheye was an awesome sled guide. After about noon the other snowmobilers came out of the woodwork and cut some of our rides short. We had to hit more remote skid roads from this point on.

LongTatLaw, I've shot many deer in my life, I'm looking for a special deer that I'm not sure exists anymore. :chuckle:

cowboybilly, didn't take long to figure out who you are. :tung:

The hunt continues. . . .

I hear ya brother...I do. Hunt hard with high standards the entire time... but come last day of season, if ya still havent found that dream buck... Im just hoping you take a very nice buck even if it isnt the dream buck. Thats just such an amazing tag...Id hate to see it go unused.

Its your tag and we all support your standards but man it would seem like a shame to not use it at all. thats all. my 2 cents but do your thang brother.

Im hoping you get attacked by about 220 inches of deer this weekend...lol

good luck!

300 -

Yeah, it took about 2 lines to figure out who Cowboybilly was!

Sounds like an awesome day of hunting.  Hats off to Rougheye for cowboyin' up and getting you out for the day on his sleds.  WTG Rougheye.

Link up with Hairy yet, Dan'l?  Hopefully, he and his cronies can steer you into something special.

Must say, you're keeping us on the edge of our seats.  Just like Garrett last year.

Good luck tomorrow.  When you get him, if you can, don't wait too long for the update!

Never fear 50 Cal Jim is near! I'm tired of sitting on the sidelines while there's some huntin going on so I'm going to leave Sedro - Woolley around 4:30 am & cross that damn pass for the 11th & 12th time this season. I don't even won't to know how much my fuel bill is. I think I'll hit the Swakane in the morning & see If I can find Dan a  wallhanger &  put an end to this journey. One way or another were coming home with a deer. At least thats my attitude.

I have made the link with Hairy (that name scares me) and he has recruited several locals to join the cause. I stopped by one of the guys house this evening and he has a stack of  mule deer sheds that is crazy and he's only been collecting for 3 years (I will get a pic for the shed topic board). He could outfit many lodges with chandeliers and lamps. 50Cal will be back tomorrow early AM to see if we can roll his truck like I did the sled today.

Found your buck today.  It was about 100 yards from where those other two were.  Didn;t see them, but a cross country skier did and said they moved into te timber when a pair of sleds oved through.  The sleds were from the gamedepartment and a houndsman so must be after a cat.  Anyhow, he is a three point, but about 32-33 inches wide.  Thats a 180 plus 4x4, a non typical trash buck and now this 30 plus incher within 100 yards of each other.  I'll get you a picture.  It will hav o wait until morning.  I'm in hot water with the Mrs.  Not happy that Idabooner and I were in the woods together.
