Thanks for the snow update Garrett.

For those of you who are concerned with my progress let me share some research info with you on when past raffle and governor tags were filled. My goal is to be home for Christmas but I am prepared to go the distance.

Raffle:
2004-Dec. 29
2005-Dec. 20
2006-Dec. 31 most people know this story, I do not want to relive this.

Governor:
2004-Dec 22 (Jim Cook)
2005-I heard the guy didn't hunt
2006-Ate his tag (Jim Cook), his 2004 buck was too hard to beat.

Plenty of time left. Especially since you don't have to work. Hang in there.

Gotta like the commoradere on here.  The team effort to help a fellow hunter score the buck of a lifetime is really what makes this sport great!  You guys on here are some of the best associates one could ask for.  Great job guys!

In the Entiat now, but the story is still the same. Lots of does and 2-3pts. I am getting very fast at chaining up the snowcat (Explorer) though. There were times I was clearing snow between the ruts. Not as much clearance as the trucks who were up the roads before me. Too much more snow and my walks will get longer or I'll need to go lower. I've been seeing lots of coyotes too, they are lucky I am deer hunting. Tomorrow will be another day somewhere up high in the Entiat.

good luck and keep us posted...

300 -

Truly hope you are enjoying yourself!  Plenty of time, yet - glad to hear you've got it under control.  Give me a call at work (ext 5339) or at home, maybe we can work something out.  No guarantees, but I might be able to wiggle away for a few days.  Maybe we can trade rigs if you think that'll help.

Also, remember Byron is in Chelan and has some contacts that might be able to kick in.  I'll call him and let him know the situation.  He knows you have the tag but isn't up on where you're at right now with it.

Keep your powder dry and shoot straight.

Dave

Let me know if you need a cuppa coffee, a sandwich, snowshoes, or a tow out of a hole or anything. I'm in Wenatchee and have a fairly flexible schedule for the next couple of weeks.

Regards, Guy

Hey Wea300, have you ever considered taking a boat along Chelan and glassing all the way to the other end? Seems to me that if the bucks are not in the Entiat yet they may still be up the other end

No, but it sounds like a good idea, maybe even comb the north shore too. Here that 50Cal, I need the Alumaweld over here.
