my bro has a 300 wsm and dropped a mulie at 350 yards this year with it.  i haven't shot it, but i've held it and it feels nice.  i shoot a 270 wsm and it's awsome, so i would imagine the 300 wsm is awsome as well.  he likes it.

I have a Tikka T3 in 300wsm. I think it is my new favorite gun. Dropped my Wyoming elk in one shot.

My Kimber montana in 300wsm is accurate(sub moa) a joy to carry all day(lightweight) and recoil?  What recoil!  The kimber has a stock that flat out eats recoil up!  For the money you cannot build a custom that has what the Montana offers.

I'd look use as they can be had as new in Box $for as little as $800.   I bought mine with 20 rounds down the tube for $830!  I know where there is one right now for $900 in perfect condition.

My "meat" gun is a Steyr 300wsm, killed elk, deer and pronghorn with it, I love the round and there is no recoil compared to the 300 winmag (IMHO) I have an A/Bolt 300wsm LNIB that I should advertise since it was given to me by my ex and is collecting dust.

I shoot the .325 wsm kimber montana. Love it man. Light and powerful. Kimber is hard to beat, nice and tight.

I own a Browning A-Bolt in the 300 WSM.  It took me awhile to get it to shoot real good.  The best I could do was about a 2" group at a hundred yards until I took it to a gunsmith at Sportco in Fife.  Trigger adjusted from 8lbs. to 2 3/4lbs, barrell recrowned, a nice recoil pad, and (most important) switched to 180 gr. from 150 gr. and now the rifle shoots 3/4" to 1" 3 shot groups.  I have a 4-12 Swarovski scope on it.  I have taken two real good bucks with it and wouldn't part with it (28" 5x7 and 27" 3x3).  One shot for each buck.  Strongly reccomend this rifle!
