Back from MT and CO

I think picking one good unit and sticking with it in Colorado could really pay off.  Seems like 180 bucks come from just about every unit in the state and there are plenty of tags that can be drawn with 1-3 points. I've heard that eastern CO can be really good too.

I agree.  I spent the full 7 days in my unit this year and found some great areas.  Next year  I won't be wandering "aimlessly" for the first few days of the season!

I've got half a dozen points in Colorado.  Better believe I'll have a tag in my hand next year. I actually thought I'd draw this year but I think a lot of ppl went to some of the 2nd tier units that I chose b/c of the winter kill in the gunnison basin.  Next year may be a trifecta - CO, WY, and MT.  I'm due in some other states as well so it's just a matter of time.

I would take an army of buddies if I could!  I think I will take my little brother again.  He has great Eyes and runs on lunchables, poptarts, and Coors Light.  I can afford that kind of help

JJ...that is certainly big buck country you mentioned....Lots of private land..which is a good recipe for big bucks!

Sounds like some great hunts.  I really enjoy hunting CO.  I generally make it back there every couple years... depending on pts. etc.  I used to live in Grand Junction.  How far from GJ were you hunting?
