I saw a friend take one at 73 yards, punch it right it vitals. I personally could not take it but this guy shoots daily and is good. Let's don't get into the ethics converstaion, that has been beaten to death on other threads. We have done a ton of 3D shoots over the last 20 years. There used to be a good shoot by MT Clemons archery club called pine creek. They had a novelty shoot that was an antelope at 124 yds with a black dot on it. My wife won it almost everytime. The bottom of her sight was perfect for the shot. I watched her head shoot a deer that was peaking out from behind a stump at exactly 124 yds. I almost fell over. I know you will say SURE or not ethical. Not a shot that would be taken lightly. The only availabe shot was the head shot. It would either be a hit or a miss. Also witnessed by three othersLots of deer and elk have been seen running around with an arrow sticking out of their head because of someone thinking it was a "hit or miss shot".I just dont want to see some new bowhunter read about head shots being hit or miss and think it is ok .
