Dad & Daughter's first deer together 2013
« on: December 22, 2013, 07:10:35 AM »
Stevens County Whitey.  Not a bruiser, but a very special deer.  My daughter and I got this guy opening morning.

I've been there with my son too. It's a great feeling!  :) Wish my dad could've been there when I got my first deer.
I watched my grandpa just about do cartwheels when he saw me covered in blood after I came home after getting my first (and even second) deer. My mother nearly passed out though. I put the buck up on my shoulders to move it to a shaded area but got a blood bath in the process. Coming home with a white T-shirt covered in blood made it look like I had just return from Vietnam barely alive.

nice buck, even if he's not a bruiser, a lot of folks who have hunted for years can't say they got one as nice.
did you tell the story somewhere else on the forum? always like the read the story behind the hunt. good job, congrats
