Newest family member came home today
« on: December 22, 2013, 10:11:22 PM »
Well we got our new pup today and since she is dealing with being an only puppy right now, making a little noise  :chuckle:. I thought I would share some pictures with the rest of the lucky people that are still up. Most likely not listening to a beautiful little puppy howl  :yike:. Her name is Ruby and is/was great until bedtime. Last picture is of the big guy, Bart who is not sure he is ready to share the/HIS place with this new rodent like creature with sharp claws and teeth  :bdid:

Didn't take long for readjustment  during daylight hours thats for sure from the looks of your pics!Pretty good old trick that works for anxiety of being seperated from the pack is to take a towel along when picking a pup up and getting the scent from momma and littermates all over it,and then stuff that in the crate.Familiar smells can help with the seperation process,of course that all goes out the window as soon as you have a piddleing  accident.

Good looking dog. Where did you get her? My dad had a fox red lab years ago. I have always loved the color.

You're killing me.  It's still over 3 weeks before I get my new pup.  :bash:

Great looking pup, I can't wait to meet her.

We got her from Adams Gundogs out of Castlerock. This is only his third litter. The pups look great and the parents have qualities I was looking for.

Nash is going on 5 months now? He should be getting big. Likely he will grow for another 6 months and then he will start filling out. Keep him slim and you will both be happier, how is he doing for energy? He should have plenty of go

Ruby is not from Morgans but I talked with Jim at length before going to look at them. The pedigree is great and she should be a lot of what Bart is not (small and a lot less drool when excited  :chuckle:) so I should have the best of both dogs next fall.

Take a hot water bottle wrap it up good and bury it under the bedding good. If you got something from the breeder with scent use that too. Put in back of box.

She is use to sleeping with warm bodies. It might get through the rough spots.
