Looking for decoys
« on: December 24, 2013, 11:54:26 AM »
Anyone have any old decoys that you don't use anymore, that you would like to sell cheap, or give away? Preferably within 1-2 hours drive of Marysville. I am looking for duck and/or goose decoys.

How many are you looking for?  I have a few extra!
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!

Well the only decoys I have right now are a dozen sock type snow goose decoys that my wife got me for my birthday, so I'll take whatever I can get. :) I probably couldn't carry more than about a dozen or so floater duck decoys though due to a gimp foot, so I probably won't need much more than a dozen or so for now.

Rogers Sporting Goods has a sale on some cheap-o mallard floaters. $29 bucks for a dozen. I don't think they are super durable paint wise but they are very cheap. If your on a budget like me its hard to beat dirt cheap!!!

I bought 3 dozen used ones earlier in the season for $60 total and they all needed paint, but came rigged. These GHG ones are about the same price new but not rigged.

Cool, thanks for the info. I am hoping I can find some used decoys cheaper(or free). I am still a pretty terrible shot when it comes to hitting ducks, so I like to let them land in the decoys and shoot them as they are taking off cause they seem to be easier to hit that way. If I get used decoys cheap, I won't feel as bad about clipping them occasionally when shooting low at ducks.

If can't get my hands on any used, I will likely buy some of those that you linked though. :)
