I am new to bow hunting looking at the troohy ridge react it says it comes with a rheostat light for the pins i thought lights on bows was illegal or is it just a knob to allow more sunlight in.

they are not illegal everywhere, but here in washington they are. no electronics attached to the bow

A lot of sights come with a little screw in light, just unscrew it and save it.

I just removed it off my react sight. The pins are super bright even without it while practicing at dusk.
