Silver lake fishing/ice report.
« on: December 26, 2013, 08:43:50 AM »
I hit silver last night and this am. I did find one spot where they were actively feeding in about ten feet of water along a weed bed. Everything I caught was pretty small. The other spots I tried yielded no results. I did see people fishing in the middle of the lake who seemed to get one every now and then.

The ice is pretty thick. Although there seems to be some spots where it has thawed and refrozen leaving a pocket of water. I stepped on one and almost crapped my pants because I thought I was going through! Also someone is using a chains saw to cut through the ice so be careful as you could fall through.
Acts 10:12, “Get up, Peter. Kill and eat.”

Last year our "Balkan" Friends were using a chain saw! Cuttin extra large holes on Eloika. Perhaps the same batch of fellas.
Thanks for the heads up.
