My First Washington State harvest with a bow.
« on: December 26, 2013, 10:03:29 PM »
September 2013:  After a long walk down an old tractor road I heard a peculiar crunching noise. I peered over the edge and down into the Dry creek bottom and there she was at 18 yards eating what was left of a fawn.  After I unsnapped my 9mm I nocked an arrow and made a perfect double lung shot.  She went 10 feet and expired. It was a hell of a long hike back out but worth every step. I had the skull cleaned with beetles and the hide is being made into a rug.
If you teach a kid archery you will be rewarded with a lifetime of smiles!
