When I first started into bowhunting there were very few bowhunters around.  But we did have a club about 1.5 hours drive from where I lived.  I joined and never regretted it.  I probably hunted with almost half of the guys from the club over the next few years.  Hitting the walk through range was so much more fun when a bunch of us would get together than just walking through by myself.  To me that was much better than finding hunting partners!

Monroe is a pretty good location for access to good clubs.  I'd send a PM to D-Rock425 asking about club information.  I'm sure you will enjoy yourself and your sure to find other bowhunters who are looking for new partners.  Some will just need to get to know you first.  I know at our club the best way to get on every ones good side was to show up on range cleanup days ready to kick arse and take names.  No better way to find great hunting partners than to show a willingness to work hard and play even harder.

Good luck.  Wish I was closer to help out.  Though I'm sure you are going to be just fine.  A lot of good archery folks up there in your area.
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

Nice. Are you out this way?

Next couple of months are packed for me getting ready for the Monroe BBQ competition at the end of April and a couple of 3D shoots. After that things open up considerably. Memorial Day we head to Coos Bay for the Mill Casino BBQ comp.

I'm new to bow hunting myself. I'm about an hour south of you but willing to head most anywhere for a good hunt. East/west, coyote, bobcat, deer/elk. I'm game.
Let me know if your interested. I'm in Maple Valley and a new member of Cedar River Bowmen. If anyone is up for it PMs are good too.

Thank you folks. Rakkasan00 Maple Valley may be a bit far for a good partnership. Cedar River Bowmen should be able to introduce you to fellow bow hunters closer to you.
