I received an amazon gift card for Christmas with the intent of getting a couple of trail cameras. I don't know much about them, have studied many prior threads and looked at product reviews. Basically what I learned is there are a lot of different opinions out there.

Any one ever used a MOULTRIE Game Spy A-5 Low Glow Infrared Digital Trail Hunting Cameras - 5 MP.

Amazon has a four pack on sale for $229.00.

Just need to know what you all think of Moultrie?

I would not get the A-5 because it does not have a burst mode and the minimum delay is 1 minute. You could use it with bait but you would still miss a lot of pictures. My old Moultrie d40's have a 1 minute delay, which I don't like, but at least it has the 3 shot burst option, so that makes up for it. With the A5 you'd get only one picture per minute. Not good.

I have looked at the d333 because it has a 10 second delay and a burst option of 1 to 10 pictures. However I have read too many poor reviews of the 333 so I would not try it either.

The d55irxt has a good reputation but it's more money.

The camera I would recommend in the same price range is the Primos 35. Amazon has a great price on it right now- $68.10. So for four cameras you'd only be spending $40 more. I have had one for a couple years now and it's been trouble free. It's got a very fast trigger so it works good on trails without the use of bait.

I use the m-80 now the m880 and have a couple panoramic 150's mainly because there is so many options as far as setup
but to get 4 of the A-5 for that price is just a touch over 50 bucks a camera I think its a good buy
