Question For you hoyt fans

If you had to choose between alphamax 35, superhawk, or maxxis which would you pick and why?

I ask because I'm in that spot now and not sure which to go with. I would like to shoot them all but I can't. Hoping you guys can help.

Alphamax. No roller guard, less built in torque. Longer ATA for better string angle. Unless that Maxxis is a 35 as well. One of Hoyts best bows ever. Speed will be about the same with both. Alphamax has the XTS 500 limbs which are a touch more durable than the maxxis' XTS Arc limbs. Alphamax has slightly wider limbs as well, which helps with cam lean and tuning. Both have the same cams, but the Alphamax is a touch smoother because of the cable slide. Both are pretty much the same bow but the Alphamax has a couple advantages. I am splitting hairs here though, both are great bows and any advantages for one over the other are very slight. Nothing wrong with the maxxis, just personal preference. Prices on these are so low I wouldn't get the superhawk.    In my opinion the Alphamax is the better bow.

Just my opinion of the best between those three.  No slams or negativity.  I was just going to give an honest answer.

My answer to the OP - Between the bows mentioned I would choose the Alphamax 35 any day of the week over the other two.  IMO it's the better limb, better riser geometry, better overall build period.  Maxxis roller guard is nice, but not enough to ignore everything else.

Roller guards tend to assist in the storage of a small addition of energy.  They are also generally more efficient.  So with all being the same you see a few fps advantage in roller guards. They are also much more consistent and silent in wet weather.   If the roller guard is designed properly there is no more torque induced than with a cable slide. 

I'll take shootability over speed any day.  And that is where the Alphamax has the advantage IMO.
