Bear sitings near Republic
« on: August 27, 2007, 01:16:13 PM »
Just got back from Curlew lake, on saturday the wife and I saw 3 black bears in one area. If any one is going to hunt bear soon, send me a PM and I will get you within 100' of where they were seen. One bear let us get within 40 yards of him. Don't ask for pics :bash: I am still figuring out my Canon and I lost all my pics from the trip!!!

IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just gotta ask...why didn't you shoot at least one with your rifle instead of the Canon?  :dunno:

Unfortunately the area we were scouting for rifle deer is in unit 101, which does not open for genereal season black bear till sept. 4. Just a few miles west the season opened aug. 4th. Don't it figure!
