More puppies!
« on: January 02, 2014, 08:48:00 PM »
I got Tri - Labs Misty Magic Miah (call name Misty) from a former co-worker 5 years ago.  At one point I was trying to give her away, but did not have any takers, so I had her hips, elbows, and eyes tested, and then, essentially,  put her on a shelf.

I posted in an earlier thread about losing my dog last June, and getting a new pup this month.  That's still going to happen, but I also decided to take Misty off the shelf.  She is currently visiting  4XGMPR Wandermers Tazverniti MH, QAA (call name Taz) at Tiger Mt. Pointing Labradors.  When I'm confident there is going to be a litter I will post an add with all the health and pedigree info.

So... I get the new pup on January 15, and if nature takes it's course I will also have a litter of puppies in early March.   :whoo:

A new puppy ...... a litter of puppies ..... and back into birds a little  :yike:......did you hit your head :dunno:. You just signed up for a very busy spring and summer. I hope you have a lot of help for all the work you are creating  :chuckle:. I hear hard work keeps you young, let us know how that works out for you. So happy to see you back in the swing of things. Let me know when you want to talk birds.

As far as help is concerned I'm looking into joining a local chapter of the APLA that is just starting up, and maybe getting involved in their programs.  :dunno:  I've already lined up a spot to train at Rocking M, but Bryant and Cindy aren't pointing lab people, and I'm just an amateur at best.   :chuckle:

We can get together on the birds anytime.  The pens are ready even if the pups aren't.

I think I saw that R.J. Marquart does pointing labs. Search Quicksilver kennels. In eastern Wash.

Look for a trainer who has pointing labs and can show you what they do. I don't know of any on the west side.

Butch has some. He's trained pointers too.

But with a pointing lab, you want someone who can balance the pointing stuff with the retrieving stuff.

Thanks,
