Got lucky!
« on: January 02, 2014, 09:43:06 PM »
It was foggy so it made hunting difficult.  I just kept letting one cluck out and they would hone in and do the rest!  What a fun day, the dog even was able to lay out with me for the last flock. Happy first flock of the year to all.

Some nice big birds!
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!

The fog can be good if you are in the right spot. Congrats you were in the right spot.

Thanks, the birds were a heavy trip in itself. I wonder how much they weighed? Anyhow the scouting did pay off from the day before and when the next morning when it was pea soup fog…. I just followed the GPS and trusted that I did my scouting homework right.
