New to the form, this is my season so far
« on: November 11, 2008, 09:03:26 PM »
Hey I'm new to the form, and thought i'd show how my season had gone so far. Opening weekend my dad, brother and his son, and I hunted near Winthrop. Dad got his buck opening morning about 10 minutes in. Brother forgot his tag so I tookover his stand and shot my buck Sunday morning. These were the first deer that my nephew had seen killed. He wanted to help drag and spent the rest of the trip "hunting" with his BB gun in camp. Not a ton of deer there this year but the deer that were there were nice bucks. Aside from the deer that we shot I saw two other bucks including a nice 5x5 and dad's buck was with a big 2pt and he saw another legal buck on his way out with his deer. Heading to NE this weekend to see if we can fill a friends tag with a late season WT.
I hunt, therefore I am.... I fish, therefore I lie.

NIce job, great bucks, not many did well around Winthrop this year, I barely heard any shots, nice job.  And welcome to the site.
I would rather be a conservative nut job, than a liberal with no nuts, and no job!

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield
