Cold front in the east
« on: January 04, 2014, 09:21:52 AM »
Something I was wondering this morning on the way to work is, would the cold front coming into the east and midwest push any birds down or into other areas? Maybe it was just wishful thinking.....  :chuckle:
Obviously there are other birds that travel great distance sideways, so to speak, and with the wind current they can get off track. Just something to think about. Anyone have any ideas?

It's not unheard of though. I got a banded duck from Novia Scotia during the hellish winter the Midwest endured a few years ago.  A couple of my buddies got bands from Maryland and Georgia ( I think) that same week. Not sure if he and his merry band were taking an easier route or what.  I also got a hell of a lot of wood ducks and too.  Just hunt like hell and let us know what you find
