Othello late season

As I am already starting to go into depression due to the upland season being close to over here is a couple of pics of recent success.
First picture is from Saturday December 28th on private land ( 2 of us hunting) and the second one is from Sunday the 29th on public land.  I managed to eek out a few quail on Monday and Tuesday.  For the sake of remaining married and employed I came home Tuesday afternoon.

I was skunked yesterday and got 2 roosters today which was a great treat and a suprise. No big old tail draggers but,  a birds a bird...  Hunting hard and putting on alot of miles to get birds, it's been a tough year.

I did well in town by the dog pound,and a few west of royal.

Congratulations on a nice bag.  That is a good looking dog also.

You did well!  I have yet to have a limit day this year.  Being local is a great thing to know the sneaker spots!

Thanks. She's a small female, got her at Tiger Mt pointing labs in Ellensburg. Shes long and squatty, 65 lbs.

I went on Friday. the birds wern't holding. Didn't get any shooting in. We kicked up 5 birds 1 rooster but was too far out. We also kicked up a covey of quail(which is always heartt pumping) but we don't shoot those on the brother inlaws farm... not enough of them yet. It was good to work the dog tho.
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.
