Big Bodied Blacktail Bagged
« on: November 12, 2008, 05:56:51 PM »
This mature blackie was dispatched by my brother during the general rifle season here in the great Skagit Valley. He took a whole week off from work and did not see a buck until this one on Oct. 30. He walked out an old logging road not seeing anything the whole way in and on the way back to his truck this guy jumped out. It's a 4x5(without eyeguards) was probably 5.5 to 6.5 years old. I don't know the guy tugging on the deer in the first pic very well so I modified his head.

And yes, I titled this thread for all of you that are having F & H News withdrawals. :chuckle:

Good Grief.  That thing looks long (unusually long for a blacktail) as well as thick.  Great Buck!!!
