Looks good. Do you have to buy the whole belly? How big was it?
Which brine on that link did you end up using?Also, looks like you added pepper after the brine was washed off?Heavy peppered bacon is the family fav with maple being way far down the list. So, did you use maple in your brine?

Looks great. Has that slicer been good for you? I've been pondering purchasing one as I can't quite pull the trigger on a commercial unit as it takes up too much counter space. (found one at an auction for 300 and almost pulled the trigger but talked myself out of it at the last minute.)

ok so all the meat between front and rear leg and below the center line of the pig is for bacon.thank you sir ive always wondered that.
