need a new string
« on: May 19, 2014, 08:12:49 AM »
i need to get a new string for my hoyt vector 32. Its starting to fray around the metal peep sight :bash:.  Just wondering if i should buy one online then take it to the shop or just go to the shop? Van Winkles is the closest shop to me, i dont really trust cabelas to re string it.
any help would be appreciated

if you have the time go to xxx archery in Rainer , OR( just across the bridge from longview) .  Cory is on this site as a sponsor as well and they make there own strings. the shop and guys are great to work with too, plus no tax and its only a couple hours south of you. if you want more local go to riverside archery  in mt. Vernon.

they can do it while you wait im sure . maybe call ahead in case they have a big workload or something. unless you want custom colors or something that may take extra time.

The knockpoint is closest to you if you don't want to drive up to Riverside.
They are a Hoyt shop.

Old enough to know better.
Young enough to go for it.

I've had a string or 2 dozen put on at van winkles. :chuckle:.  They will get you a winners choice strike g witch are some of the best strings IMO.  You shouldn't have a problem.

If you're going to buy online, I'd highly recommend Pinnacle Archery Custom Strings.  Luckily, they're local to me so I was able to have him install the strings and help me tune the bow.  He does amazing work!
