Win Mod 70 Youth Stock Question

I have a Winchester Model 70 Youth .243 that was my first rifle. Thankfully, my dad talked me out of selling it last year (I think I would have regretted it). It has a 22" barrel if I am measuring it correctly. My question is, can I put this barrel/action into a full size stock? I was looking at some of the Boyds stocks on gunbroker cause I don't need anything super fancy like a McMillan for what I want out of this rifle, and I have heard good things about the Boyds stocks. Thanks.

There should be no problem putting it in a full size stock.  The stock and maybe barrel length are the only thing making it a Youth model,(so it is shorter than a full size rifle for the pint sized hunters).  You can also have a gunsmith add a spacer and a thicker recoil pad to it, to extend the length of pull as well.  Unless you just have to have a new stock, which is not a bad thing either.

I just like the look of the wood laminate and figured if I kept the youth stock untouched, then I would have it in the future.

great gun I bought one for my grandson and wife from this site,its a comp stock
