New electric call

So me and a bowhunting buddy are new at this varmint hunting stuff but are real interested. I was thinking about picking up a Flextone Echo HD 80 since they are in my price range and seem to be a reputable outfit. The Foxpro's seem to be what most guys are using but just wondering if this Echo would be sufficient for rookies? Anyone have any experience with them?

Never heard of it but I just bought a Primos Alpha dog paid $232 shipped to my front door comes with 75 sounds and I believe holds up to 1000 good sound quality great volume One of the best features is it comes with pre-loaded coyote hunting sequences by Randy Anderson Example there are a few different scenarios rabbit sequence breeding sequence territorial sequence each one has The entire hunt preloaded up to around half an hour 30 seconds or so of Rabbit squeals followed by two minutes silence followed by territorial howls.... two minutes silence more squeals etc. The whole hunt is already programmed for you so you turn it on and sit and wait and watch sound volume is also preloaded but you can adjust if you like ....PS I hear there is a ton of coyotes on the wet side have at them

I had a flextone echo. Don't remember the model, but it was $150 from cabelas. The sounds are high quality. That's about all the good I found in it. The Rennie was horrible to use, and the volume was basically non existent. You can't add any sounds to it. I returned it, and bought a foxpro wildfire 2. $50 more than the flextone, and I like it much better. I got it from allpredatorcalls.com you can pick what sounds you want.

I think the primos turbo dog would be an ok option for somewhere around 150

I have been using a handheld call for many years which really limits the tones you can produce even it you have several calls on you.
Thinking about an elect.
Was wondering how often you use the fancy extra features like fade, bang or preset sequences and whether you tink they were worth the extra $$?
Don't mind spending $$ on something I would use, but not for something that would rarely be of use.

I don't know about the other features, never used the presets.  Finally turned off the Foxbang because it was getting on my nerves.  Every time I bumped the remote against something, it came on.  I got more response from my mouth calls than the electronic caller...

Got a good deal on a FP wildfire 2 with fox jack decoy on EBay. It was gently used and I saved $80 over retail. It's much smaller/compact than I thought it would be. Sounds are superb though. Very easy to carry into the field. I'd recommend it.
