I've only hunted turkeys for a few years now & the first couple were tough & its still tough, find where they roost & set up near there in morning, be prepared to sit for hours.

It is some of the most enjoyable hunting there is. Go to a seminar in the area you live and start spending some time in the woods where turkeys live to learn what they do and when they do it.

Youth season opens on the 8th.
Be more concerned with your character than your reputation. Your character is who you actually are while your reputation is merely who others think you are.

What area do you live in ?   :dunno:

 I'm doing a 2 hr turkey hunting seminar for Cabelas-Tulalip on Sat Feb 22nd from 1pm - 3pm.

If you can't make it, my three basic rules are:
(1) don't let them see you,
(2) don't let them see you,
and .... wait for it ....

Agreed with take a seminar. Learn to call. Practice, practice and practice.spend time in the woods and listen to the birds. Spring turkey is all about calling. If Turkey hunting was about the ambush, I would give it up. Once you figure it out it gets easy well easier. I have more fun calling for others than getting my own birds. Bought a camera this year to film some turkey hunts. By far my favorite hunt of the year.

Youth season opens on the 8th.
That is a Tuesday on my calendar, are you sure it isn't the 5th and 6th?
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

Are you in the conference rooms or is this out in the store? (it said main aisle). It also says you are doing it the 23rd, Sunday.
