The camo finish sticks to the 3D foam. Try using RCBS resizing lube in a lube tube. I have been using it for years. I have not found any product that work as well. Twisting is ok if you are the one pulling your arrows. Be careful if someone else does it they can break them.

ANY kind of arrow lube really helps on older targets. I've tried several different brand and just  hotel sized bar soap, they all work.  You can buy an arrow puller OR you can take a flat kids rubber ball and cut a small patch, OR some of that non slip matting used for tool boxes/RV place mats.
