I ditched my LCP, it sucked! Couldn't bring myself to buy the Ruger 9mm. I had heard rumors of the new Remington Sub-Compact and now it's on its way.

I've been looking at the Kahr CW9 for awhile now, but this one might be it. What an awesome gun with an awesome heritage.

Ha! Try concealing a Sig "Scorpion" in shorts and a T-Shirt. Maybe if I gained 50lbs, some of you can do it. I can't.

With the ballistics that 9mm currently has I would much rather carry more ammo on me then carry a 1911 with 9 rounds of 45. More rounds down range am more rounds to put down range to get my butt to some cover.

As much as I would like to insult the Ruger LCR by looking at it, I can't. Because I haven't thoroughly test drove one. :o

Where you put the bullet is far more important than what you put it there with.

Oh! That's right! It would have to be a sub-compact made by Tikka that came with a free Sitka Gear shamwow to get most peoples attention not in the (509) area code.  :chuckle:

Yup, also the top picture makes it look like an over sized sub compact.
The G26-27 are smaller, as is the XDs. The G29 is very close in size as well, and with 11 rounds of 10 on tap.
I'll pass on the r51

XD-S .45 is crap(Own one, shot it twice)you better be able to make your first shot count because that handgun sucks for double taps. Now some People can play the internet guru and claim their wonderful but I own and have shot a chit load of .45's and the XD-S is a control nightmare in double tapping and rapid fire. The XD-S 9mm may be the ticket. Maybe M&P will come out of the Stone Age and offer something new and catch up with Springfield.

I think some of you miss the point. Do the research on the original Remington R51. The R51 isn't all new for 2014 it's a redesign and a chambering change  to a old Remington handgun.  It isn't all new to compete with the modern line up. Bottom line is, if you want to play the compare game. I would take a Glock hands down pretty much every day of the week and twice on Sunday over pretty much anything on the market when it comes to a carry gun.

So compare away if you have nothing better to do, or don't understand the the arrival of the R51.👍 Math is simple, common sense is in short supply.

BH, I don't think you have grasped the concept of compact Weedhopper!
Having a 3.5 to 4.0 " Sub-compact (because concealing my Sig  "Scorpion" in shorts and a T-Shirt, I can't) then adding a 5" D!ck I mean suppressor, might just kinda defeat the purpose of the term Sub-Compact,
 :chuckle:

Wait! Sitka now sells Shammy's   :yike:
Dang, now the price of Shammy's are going to sky rocket way above their worth, just like hiking clothes did, why :dunno:

Because they made them in godawful versions of camo colors!

They only call it r51 because "etronix" was taken. ....Although they won't admit that.

How does the Remington compare in size to the XD-S?
In the first pic it looks like it has a grip safety, but cant see it in the 2nd pic?

I have one on order but have not handled one. I like all sorts of handguns and I like Remington. I never posted with the intent to compare the R51 to anything or to make it out to be the "End all" of the handgun world. Heck, I even own a Savage 110 and Rossi .357 Magnum. I hide on the back roads and shoot them in the deepest sage brush so as not to be seen with such riff raff. ;) but I refuse to whore myself out to Tikka. >:(

A couple years ago, I was given a 10 year old Stevens single shot breach, in 12 guage, never been fired for free! Probably the cheapest shotgun known to man. Still have not shot it.
I just think it looks cool, up on the wall with the breach open,   :dunno:
