I don't see a lot of respect for the animal on that page. I understand this is a response to the crazy wolf lovers but not just crazy wolf lovers are on facebook.
Sharing tasteful pictures of an animal you harvested Sharing gory pictures (see the facebook page) and perpetuating the myth that hunters are just blood thirsty killers with no respect for what they hunt It's this kind of stuff that gets around and ultimately bites us in the backside. We will never appease the anti-hunters. But when we (hunters) present ourselves in public (including social media) it is not a bad idea to think about how a non-hunter will perceive it...you know, those 80% or so of folks who vote but are not hunters or anti-hunters.

Ever wonder why the wolf plan has such a high requirement? Probably in large part because the perception is the day a season opens it will be a blood bath that includes people looking to get even with wolves (read animal cruelty). Stuff like this just helps cement that view of wolf hunting and hunters in general.I'm sure I'll catch flak for that, oh well, it won't be so great and funny when the pro wolf lobby scrapes that page for images to use when initiative time comes.
Do what you want, just don't be surprised if it comes back to bite you. History will repeat itself if you're not careful and keep feeding them easy propaganda. But what do I know? Stuff like this never happens in Washington...http://www.spokesman.com/stories/1996/nov/13/passage-of-initiative-655-leaves-hunters-up-a-tree/
I could care less what the anti wolf people see or hear, keep posting pics boys!! You really think being polite hunters will get them to agree or like us!? Get real, they don't like us and we don't care for them. Just the way it is, and I'm not going to change my way of doing things to have a false feeling that it will make them happy! Kill all the wolves in the Lower 48!

The extremist are just that "extreme", they are outside the norm and are not in sufficient numbers to enact any change. They can believe wolves howl on lonely mountain tops while shooting a rainbow of skittles out their behinds for all I care. The people who matter are the city living, non hunting voters. They don't know anything about hunting and very few of them actually know a hunter personally. Eventually, they may seek some education on the matter. Since most don't even know a hunter to ask for information, they will turn to the Internet. Do you want them to think that all hunters are like the few hunters on that page showing such disrespect for their game?Someone astutely brought up I-655. In that case the city living, non hunting voters were educated about the evils of hound hunting, bear baiting and trapping by an extreme group via tv commercials. In those commercials were a lot of similar images to what I'm seeing on the facebook site. Very little of what was sold to the public was even remotely true, but they had pics and video to weave into their lies and it worked very well.
While everyone worries about what the other side might think, or how they might use a picture, pictures, the pro-wolfers are eating your lunch. Does anyone actually think these pictures at this point would alter an already brain-washed public. Have you ever spent hours trying to convince a pro-wolfer of what wolves really do? Or the end results and they still revert back to wolves balance the ecosystem or wolves and game herds just need more habitat.Look at all the information on the net. in ID, MT, Wyoming, Arizona etc. of wolves killing just to kill, the impacts on wildlife, livestock and wolves coming right in on people homes and killing their pets, do you think the people who love wolves care enough to look for the truth? We have seen people right here on W-H look the other way and argue the wolves are needed, or they don't impact the game herds. Pictures of a few dead wolves are not going to change the outcome. It's too bad the sportsmen and women can't come together and fight this as one, everyone who enjoys the great outdoors. But that will never happen until the wolves are affecting them in some way.Divide and conquer, I think thats where we are today, with some people looking through a screen and others seeing the full clear picture. Trying to be politically correct hasn't really worked that well so far has it?
