I see I blew it in my comment earlier lumping 713 Anti trapping with 655 anti bear baiting and hound hunting.  Not that it matters much at this point, just don't want anyone spouting off info they got from my post and getting corrected.

I will take a shot of fireball for my punishment.

"A beautiful photo of 1000 live elk."

I think we need to find this guy and have him give a few lessons.

Talked to a gamie today and he said there were 2 wolves killed by cougars recently.  One was in the Teannaway and he didnt remember where the other was.  Both were confirmed cougar kills and both had collars is how they found them.

Flipping through some of those photos...that site is a hunting and trapping PR nightmare.

It's one thing to want to control predator numbers, it's entirely another to such have total disrespect for the animal you're trapping and hunting.

Just how I see things.

One of the things that bothers me with this statement is the fact that not all animals are equal.  The lions share of  money raised by the state in Lic are for deer and elk. THAT is what people want to hunt. Shooting wolves should be just like shooting coyotes. Why Because one in an area they are nearly impossible to eradicate with conventional methods. Neither one of them bring in the kind of Rev or hunter numbers as deer and elk.  Coyotes are nothing but chicken thieves, and wolves are nothing more than sheep killers.
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

Cougar taking a wolf, hummmmm even in the animal HUNGER trumps logic!!

Some where in Walt Disney's "nature" films is a Cougar killing and eating a Golden Eagle.   Seen it not to long ago on some internet site.   Had seen it as a kid back in the 60's.

Hunger pains make anything do strange things :EAT:
