Ripper Grays Harbor Buck!
« on: November 13, 2008, 10:22:38 PM »
Well.....not to be outdone by the "serial killers"....lol. Today I went out and shot my best blacktail to date.  I just got home and have to head up tomarrow to get the rest of him.  Hunted most of the day in the mid-elevation seeing alot of pre-rain sign but nothing fresh.  So I decided to head up high and on top thinking the deer did not like the water roar from the drainages and also it was just drier on top.  I crept down an old skid road and jumped a doe....crept another 40 yards and spotted a body with its head down.  I could tell it was a buck.  It seemed like forever with his head down but when he lifted it.....he went down.  25 yds.  Hes a great buck for this area.  His body wasnt that large and he was still a fairly young buck.  Heres some pics!

Vegetarians?..Vegetarians are cool.  All I eat are vegetarians....except for the occasional mtn. lion steak.

Makes me wish I had gone out, but then with the freezer going belly up... :bash:

Its rare in this area to see a true 4x.  Most of the big ole bucks are just huge 3x's.  NO FREEZER!  :yike:  Time to pony up for a new one billie or just become a vegetarian  :chuckle:

Well I just took him out to Charlies Taxidermy aka "bucklucky" house on the skook.  Hes a class act.....and that bull he killed is just plain out of this world.  We found two porcupine quills in my bucks nose.  Some bucks are just to damm horny for their own good:chuckle:
