BLRMAN, i am sure you have thought of this but incase you havent, when the event is a couple weeks out, email the MENS ROOM 99.9, they really like doing stuff for the wounded warriors and pretty much anything to do with service men and women, it would be another way to get the event out there  maybe even email them sooner, maybe they would do a broadcast from it, they have done stuff like this in the past...
they are on my p.r. list.  I am gonna start beating the war drums about middle of April and then hit it really hard end of May all through June.  They interviewed my dad when he did his ride.  I'm not holding out hope for many wet siders as there are 7-8 races that day on that side, but hey, you never know.  Even if it hooks a few that is better than zero.

5k runs are the "in" thing now... Foam runs, color runs, black light night runs, "run from the cops" runs, zombie runs, there are so so so many. I started doing them a couple years ago  :chuckle: I know.  It might be a "wetsider" thing.. but from April through December there is probably a 5k run every weekend, so I wouldn't worry too much about overlap. Definitely get the word out as much as possible, post a link to the facebook page on here when it's in full effect so we can all share on our pages. That's definitely the way most of them are found.

I'd figure out how to post it up on this site too: http://gametiime.com/ I look at it a lot for 5k runs.

What if you go for image #1 and have 'Heroes live forever' with your brothers name on the left sleave? Does that change the cost much?

It does.  every image is an additional cost. It might be only a couple bucks but multiply that by hopefully hundreds of shirts and thats a big chunk of change that wouldn't be going to the charities.  Also, as personal as this is for me because of my brother, its not about just him.  Its about honoring all of our fallen warriors, their families, and our warriors still fighting.  I wouldn't want to personalize it like that.  I think it should most def be on the huntwa shirt if we are wanting to pursue that route with the elk antler shirt.  I think its a cool idea personally.  That way we know who to avoid at the run/walk :chuckle:

So I am firing up the Facebook page and not sure what to title it.  Yakima Run to Remember or Yakima Run To Remember: Fallen Heroes 5K  Suggestions or opinions?

I really like the design!! We really should pursue the huntwa one as well. I am not fond of camo for everyday wear, but would have no problem paying extra (so as to not take money away from charity) for the poly shirt. I am in and will start spreading word to friends and co-workers.

Nice design SG, you're very talented. Do you think you could stylize a HUNT WA into the design by incorporating it into the center of the boot print? You know a HUNT WA tread.
