I don't know the OP or anything about this buck.

But from now on I'm blacking out the eyes in every picture of every animal I kill.

Well I hope it was.......

1) shot at 50 yards
2) shot with a .338 or larger caliber
3) 1 mile from the vehicle that transported you to the site
4) the gutpile was blessed by a Rabbi, Priest, Shamen or the Dali Lama himself
5) said gutpile was 1.5 miles from the nearest road
6) carcass was, at earliest opportunity removed from the back of the truck and transferred to a coroners van for transport home

Looks like a legit photo to me minus the eyes :dunno: there's no degradation upon close inspection of the pixels around the head and or neck. Unless hes the best photoshop artist in the world, I believe its a legit photo just in a strangly awkward pose.
Its funny how half you guys are like a firing squad and just wait to try to hate on any and everything that's not perfect, ethical, or against what you believe or think. Same reason why alot of people dont come on here much anymore. Getting really tired of some of the negativity on this forum, it gets way out of hand quick.
In short, some of you are a holes.
Even if it somehow is a fake (which I highly doubt) no need to be rude.

Been thinking the same thing for awhile Smossy.  Think I've said something similar not too awful long ago.  Some people can't help themselves but to cut someone else down because of there smaller than average "personality".

Would take a real stupid sum gun to post pictures of an illegal animal on a message board.  Doubt there is anything not legit about this deer.  Picture is a little off, but who gives a rats behind?

Photo looks legit to me as well. After opening it in an editing program I could only see an edit to the antler (besides the eyes). The head, neck and even the stick all seem to be part of the original photo.

There are way too many negative remarks regarding photos and we are taking notice.

Lots of people, myself included, don't post as much as they would like (if at all) because there seems to be a some members that are just waiting to slam others.

Now if you ask "how big", "what's it score" or say a 10lb fish weighs 15lbs then be prepared for the onslaught. But if you post an antlerless/spike deer, you should not have to be worried that someone will call you out for wasting a tag or for killing a doe.

We don't have a plan yet, but we want everyone to feel free to post.

C'mon MEN , if any 20 of us were sitting around a campfire with each other and one of us said "hey, check out this deer I shot" and passed a pic like that around , what would the comments be ? Probably real similar to what gets typed on here. I agree there are things that are out of line and usually get deleted. Please don't frown on a bunch of guys sitting around a "campfire" busting someone's balls. Isn't that what this is?

I think it's a cool buck, but what ya do chop it's head off first? :chuckle:

Yeah, but you got to remember, these are the days where everyone makes the team, no one wins or loses, and everyone gets a trophy.

Shame on people for doubting/questioning a really strange photo.... A photo in which the OP could have just explained, in the first place, instead of letting it ride for so long.

This isn't your average campfire, This is a forum where a majority of people are strangers to each-other and no one knows one another, Everyone sits behind a username.
Just because its a campfire, doesnt mean you automatically have permission to trash people.
Its more of a "lets talk about random nonsense" kinda thing.
Website aside, I dont think should be poppin off with the negativity without knowing the other person.

singleshot..you've been around this site along time, kinda surprised you'd jump a guys sh.t for really just posting a pic of a buck without a bunch of details. He doesn't owe us an explanation. Does it really matter if he didn't take Eastmans class on how to take great field photos, or he blackened out the eyes? Maybe they had a glare to em and he was just trying to clean it up a bit. I've taken solo pics of animals I've killed before using a stick to hold his head up cuz I thought it showed the animal better. And because the guy doesn't use proper punctuation he's a 9yr old troll? Idk man, gotta say you and all the negative guys "sitting around the campfire" sound like the trolls to me.

The pic is odd, there's no doubt. But really, who cares? Maybe the guy loves hunting but hasn't killed anything in years and just wants to contribute but never can cuz he has nothing. Could be any number of reasons why the pic is so tampered. Truth is, there's a lot of people that hunt who are unsuccessful year after year and never get that chance to get the "kudos" from everyone. Idk, guess I've always been more the type that would rather defend someone then rip em'.

It is a funny looking picture, probably would have looked better as an "as he lays shot" with the head laying right on the ground. Nice little buck though I have a hard time not shooting any three point blacktail, and you said you shot it with a bow right?
