A picture from my living room, Yea I've studied  :kneel:

Not saying it's not a cougar, not saying it is, could still be a Lab :dunno:
Tail in the pic looks just like the one you have on your wall. And you still think it could be a lab. Silly rabbit.  :chuckle:

It does look a lot like a cougar, But, in the OP's pic the tip of the tail does not appear to be darker and it also appears to be pointy. A cougars tail is usually black tipped and has a very slight tuft on the end. I don't see that in the pic. On all my trail cam/cougar pics I can see that dark tail tip.

Lion - Discoloration on the tip of the tail is the dead giveaway, Lab lol - there's no way that looks even remotely like a lab.

I respectfully disgree with you. That tail doesn't even remotely come close to looking pointy and the tip does look darker to me.  :dunno:

the Tail is a dead giveaway, but in the second pic it made me wonder.
"I love my country, I love my guns, I love my family,
I love the way it is now and anybody that tries to change it has to come through me.
That should be all of our attitudes.
Cause this is America and a country boy is good enough for me son..."

Only one way to know for sure.

Kill it, then have it taxi'd.  Then, study the mount closely in your man cave for several years.

If after several years of close study of the mount it appears to be a cougar, you'll know it's a cougar.  If it appears to be a lab, maybe apologise to your neighbor.
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”
