A person will examine the plate and deny it if they find some offensive or hidden meaning.

Back when personalized plates were first starting people were getting all kinds of weird and cryptic stuff, so they really clamped down on it.

So I doubt highly that you'll get that, they got to be pretty benign.

Although some people do slip a few through now and then.  All it takes is a complaint or two and they'll yank it.

yeah, im sure there would be complaints.   maybe i could fly under the radar with "3-ESSES" or "SX3"

Mine was hard to get 25 years ago. Once you get the personalized plate, it's yours forever even if you don't want it anymore and go back to a regular plate.
